Policies:

Grants will be limited to 501(c)3 organizations serving the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area, and environmental organizations within a 70 mile radius of the U.S. Capital Building.

Grants will normally be made in the range of $2,500 to $10,000 with the possibility of larger grants for innovative projects or to assista and organixation to meet a critical need. Special consideration will be given to innovative projects, but grants will be made for ongoing programs.  After receiving two grants, reapplication for a third grant may be made after three years have passed from the time the first grant was awarded.  Grants will not be made to or for the benefit of individuals, for capital campaigns, for real property acquisition, or for building construction.

The Spring Creek Foundation accepts, but does not require, the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers (WRAG) Common Grant Application format.  First time applicants must begin with a phone call to the Foundation for a preliminary discussion of the proposal itself as well as its method of presentation.  The narrative description of the proposal should not exceed five pages. One copy of the application will be sufficient.



 Reporting Requirements:

Grant recipients will be expected to submit a written report and copies of any materials generated in connection with the grant at the end of the award period.

 


   
   

Proposal Deadlines:

There are no more proposal deadlines because Spring Creek is no longer accepting proposals. The foundation will close its doors December 31, 2007
